Job description
Overall Purpose of Job:
Intermediate corporate finance professional, supporting investment grade lending business. Critical function of assessing risk factors associated with a credit and determining appropriate rating based on established policies and guidelines. Responsible for active credit management of a designated portfolio utilizing solid credit and analytical skills. Provide continuous oversight of a designated group of portfolio names monitoring for potential upgrading, downgrading and credit deterioration with the goal of maximizing net income and reducing credit costs.
" Responsible for the management of a segment of the primarily investment grade commercial loan portfolio.
" Perform due diligence and evaluation of assigned loan portfolio on a regularly scheduled and ongoing basis. For assigned accounts, responsible for daily monitoring of company specific, market and economic factors, which may influence the internal, risk rating of borrowers.
" Prepare detailed credit analyses and required credit application according to policy including evaluation of loan purpose and structure, repayment sources, corporate, regulatory and industry risk, liquidity, asset protection, historical and projected operating performance and capital structure.
" Advanced modeling skill required for both credit application process and Quarterly Credit Watch presentations.
Who we are looking for
Corporate finance professional with solid credit and analytical background. Completion of formal credit-training program at a money center bank preferred. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Strong financial modeling skills a must.
4-7 years experience; MBA or CFA 2+ years. Series 79 & 63 required
an ideal candidate will be one with a background in analyzing financial institutions (i.e. insurance companies, exchanges, broker dealers & finance companies).
